Bhagwant Mann
National News: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has demonstrated that clear intentions and modern thinking can save public money while improving governance. For the first time, the condition of 3,369 roads across the state was surveyed using artificial intelligence and videography. Out of these, 843 roads were found to be in perfect condition—roads on which previous governments had spent crores in repairs. This AI-based survey saved ₹383 crores, which will now be redirected for public welfare instead of unnecessary tenders and corrupt repair work.
The Mann government is not only focusing on infrastructure but is also revamping entire administrative systems. Jails are undergoing a ₹252 crore modernization, including the installation of 5G jammers, AI cameras, and live monitoring systems. Technology is being integrated across policing and tax systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
The government has introduced AI-based HAMS technology in driving license exams. Every candidate’s test is recorded, eliminating brokerage and manipulation, ensuring that results are tamper-proof and fair.
A major initiative has begun in the field of education, where 10,000 teachers are being trained in artificial intelligence. These teachers will serve as pioneers, teaching AI to students at the school level, equipping Punjab’s youth to become job creators instead of just job seekers.
Punjab Agricultural University has started AI-based courses for farming families, enabling technical education for those involved in agriculture. In addition, the government is working on integrating the Punjabi language into AI, which will give global recognition to the mother tongue and create new digital opportunities for local youth.
This transformation goes beyond policies—it reflects a shift in mindset. Development is no longer limited to roads and buildings; it now includes technology access that simplifies citizens’ lives. The Mann government has proven that intentions aligned with public interest protect both public money and the future of Punjab.
Today, Punjab is taking a new direction, where decisions are implemented on the ground, not just on paper. With a focus on transparency, technology, and education, the state is set to be recognized not for scams, but for progressive thinking and honest development.
